Q: What is the price of metal today?
A: Metal prices fluctuate daily—and sometimes multiple times per day—based on global market conditions, supply and demand, and commodity values. For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, please contact our main office directly.
Q: Do you buy paper, plastic, or cardboard?
A: No. We specialize exclusively in metal recycling and do not accept paper, plastic, cardboard, or other non-metal materials.
Q: Do you buy catalytic converters?
A: Yes, however, we only purchase catalytic converters from businesses that can provide proper documentation showing they are legally registered with the Internal Revenue Service or the North Carolina Secretary of State, and that obtaining catalytic converters is part of their normal course of business, in accordance with North Carolina law.
Q: What do I need to bring with me when I recycle?
A: North Carolina law requires all sellers to present a valid, U.S. government-issued photo ID and be at least 18 years of age. We do not accept foreign-issued passports or photographs of identification. All IDs must be physically present and valid at the time of transaction.
Q: How do you weigh materials?
A: We utilize both a certified drive-on truck scale and a nonferrous floor scale. The type and quantity of material you bring will determine which scale is used. All of our scales are inspected and certified on a quarterly basis and meet all requirements under North Carolina law.
Q: Do you buy whole vehicles?
A: Yes, we purchase whole vehicles. All vehicles are weighed and priced based on current market conditions at the time of sale. Vehicles must have a legible VIN to be accepted. All transactions are recorded through the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Scrap Vehicle Reporting System, along with the seller’s information, and are conducted in full compliance with North Carolina law.
